Keeping you Smiling in Difficult Times

Covid – 19 has dealt us all a heavy hand, but at the Durban North Smile Center we are determined to bring back smiles during this otherwise chaotic and confusing time. The safety and well-being of staff, and patients is a top priority and while we acknowledge that the risks related to infectious disease may not be completely eliminated, we assure you that we have gone over and above in order to ensure patient and staff safety.

Help us help you

  1. Wear your Personal Protective Gear when entering the building.
  2. Use the disinfectant which will be provided at the door.
  3. Make use of the sanitising stations and wash basins to exercise important sanitising practices.
  4. Orthodontic, Periodontics and Oral Hygiene Patients will be provided with a mouth wash which must be used prior to entering the clinical area.
  5. Practice Social Distancing which will be emphasised at reception.
  6. Accompanying persons must only enter the building if necessary.
  7. We request that only one adult enter the premises.
  8. In the case of a minor patient the parent may accompany the minor patient.
  9. Where possible parents are requested to stay in their vehicle while the patient is having treatment. Only the patient will be allowed into the clinical treatment area.
  10. Patients temperature will be tested, and patients will be asked to fill out a consent form.

Some Health Tips in Short

  • Wear your mask
  • Practice Social Distancing (1.5m away from the next person)
  • Wash (For 20 seconds with soap and water) / Disinfect your Hands
  • Avoid touching objects and surfaces
  • Stay at home if you feel unwell
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects (Like your phone)
  • Practice the correct etiquette when coughing or sneezing (Into a tissue / Into the elbow)
