Speech Therapist and Audiologist | Bachelor of Speech Therapy and Hearing Therapy

A QUOTE THAT RESONATES WITH YOU:
“Always do the right thing, do your best and treat others as you want to be treated.”

I obtained my B.Sc. in Speech and Hearing Therapy at the University of Durban Westville in 2000. Having worked in London for the past 10 years I have gained a wealth of experience in both the National Health System (NHS) and the private sector. In the NHS, I was involved in speech and language assessments and therapy, newborn screening, paediatric and adult hearing assessments and hearing aid fittings.

I also worked for several years in private practice at Harley Street Hearing, involved in diagnostic audiology, musician hearing services as well as vestibular assessments before relocating to South Africa. My field of interest includes autism, diagnostic audiology and hearing aid technology.

I am actively involved in the running of the practice and my passion is helping my patients ensuring that they are receiving the best possible treatment. My focus is on prevention, diagnosis and rehabilitation of speech and hearing difficulties with an emphasis on the highest quality of care. We also focus on aftercare and ensure that you receive the best possible care. We empathize with your concerns, while offering a professional service.

My hobbies include travelling, reading and cooking.

We are a team of Audiologists and Speech Therapists working with child and adults with speech, language, swallowing and hearing difficulties.

Imagine not being able to speak or hear. Any communication difficulty may encounter obstacles to communication, academic performance or employment.

Communication disorders include poor clarity of speech, language delays, stuttering, reading and written language difficulties, swallowing disorders or a speech impairment following stroke or brain injury. These can all be improved with appropriate intervention.

Children develop speech through our sense of hearing. When we struggle to hear our ability to communicate is compromised. Audiologists identify a hearing loss and offer suitable treatment. They also fit and repair hearing aids, syringing of ears, custom ear plugs, tinnitus evaluations and hearing conservation. Central Auditory Processing Disorder (CAPD) are also managed for children having difficulties processing sound.

We offer online therapy, home visits and school visits.
