Our Story

Since 1991, Dr Sikki (Surandar) Singh has been treating patients from impoverished areas that require specialist services and advanced treatments for Cleft Lip & Palate and other facial deformities but had no access to these services. The overwhelming demand for his services led him to create the Wentworth Foundation, a multi-award winning, internationally recognized non-profit organisation that treats Cleft Lip and Palate deformations from birth to adulthood.

He realized that successful treatment and rehabilitation of these patients required the services of a team of multifaceted dedicated professionals that could deliver a comprehensive holistic treatment plan which addressed the physical, mental and social development of the patient. This approach led to the formation of the Durban North Smile Center, combining the services of those professionals under one roof, improving smiles inside and out!
